Nutrafol hires Small Girls PR for media relations, brand communications
SAN FRANCISCO: Hair-growth supplement company Nutrafol has brought on Small Girls PR as its AOR.
The firm, which began working with Nutrafol on April 1, is overseeing media relations and brand communications across all lines of the brand’s business.
SGPR has worked to bring to life to Nutrafol’s More to Hair campaign, educating consumers on the impact that external factors, such as lack of sleep or the stresses of being a new parent, can have on hair health.
Small Girls has also helped the brand with its partnership with model Ashley Graham, underscoring the whole-body approach she took to prepare her hair for the 2024 Met Gala. It also worked on a collaboration with Juice Press on its first smoothie engineered for hair health, as well as Can Your Hair Take the Heat?, a summer campaign supporting customers’ hair health amid record-high temperatures.

Nutrafol invested in SGPR as an annual, ongoing relationship, according to agency CEO Mallory Blair. The firm is Nutrafol’s only dedicated agency outside of medical PR support, which is handled by another party.
Budget details of the agreement were not disclosed.
SGPR also began working with framing company Skylight as its AOR in June, as well as intimate-care brand The Honey Pot in May. Fashion brand M.M.LaFleur named SGPR as its PR AOR in February.
The new partnerships reinforce the agency’s expertise shepherding brands through growth stages, the firm said. Small Girls PR is a creative communications agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles that was founded by Blair in 2010 when she was still in college.
SGPR works with clients ranging from venture-backed startups to publicly traded companies.
